NHMHA Membership Benefits

The NHMHA is dedicated to proactively leading and maintaining a vigorous presence at the State House and state agencies. The NHMHA fights to oppose costly and arbitrary bills that interfere with our mission of advancing homeownership and providing affordable, energy efficient, and safe housing for NH residents.

Along with legislative advocacy, membership includes:

Regulatory Oversight:  NHMHA maintains membership on two State regulatory boards that oversee the industry.  NHMHA members have been instrumental in protecting and advocating for the industry and its consumers on both the Board of Manufactured Housing and the Manufactured Housing Installation Standards Board.

Annual Meetings: Delivers pertinent information from the State’s top leaders and industry experts on regulations, finance, and insurance issues affecting your business, free to members.

Installation Standards Classes: The Association offers HUD approved educational courses for installation standards licensees, at a discount for members, and continuously monitors new installation standards rules proposed by the NH Manufactured Housing Installation Standards Board.

Newsletters: The NHMHA provides updates to members on the status of legislation at the federal and state level that impact your small business, free to members.

MCAP Dispute Resolution Program:  The NHMHA administers the Manufactured Housing Consumer Action Program (MCAP) for the resolution of rent increase disputes and is free to members. This program has served as a successful deterrent to rent control legislation by bringing community owners and residents through difficult discussions about rent.
